American menswear designer John Varvatos was born in Detroit, the home of Rock and Rock, which plays a prominent role in his clothing, footwear, accessories and fragrances. Before launching his eponymous fashion house in 1999, John Varvatos worked for Ralph Lauren for seven years, then went to Calvin Klein, where he was appointed head of menswear design and oversaw the launch of the men's collection and the cK brand before.
His style has always been masculine and his first fragrance evokes that masculinity. This is a woody vanilla fragrance with a slightly sweet scent. The hidden detail is dates. Very masculine, luxurious and a bit spicy and as to dry down, it takes a leathery turn for a stunning finish.
